Measuring and Logging Equipment

ADA 10

This instrument is simply and quickly installed on a rental basis for ten working days.
The measurement procedure is the same for all compressors including those with variable speed drive. An optocoupler ensures uncorrupted data transfer from the compressor to the data logger. Analysis of demand is made on a PC or notebook on the basis of the logged load-idle cut-in/cut-out times of the compressors. Interpretation and useful evaluation of the logged data is done by the KAESER energy saving system.

ADA 20

Also rented for 10 working days, the ADA 20 acquires precise data directly from the air main. A pre-installed metering pipe in the supply line can measure airflow by determining the pressure differential. In the ADA 20, the acquired data are also stored in a data logger. Interpretation and useful evaluation of the logged data is done by the KAESER energy saving system.

ADA 30 for permanent installation

This instrument is designed for permanent installation in the air main.

It acquires and stores data in the same way as the ADA 20 on the basis of reliable measurement of pressure differential. These data are also very precise over a wide range of measurement. They are passed to a computer that displays the air consumption in standard cubic metres; this data is available from three analog (4 to 20 mA) outputs and an RS 232 interface.

Audits with SIGMA AIR MANAGER

SIGMA AIR MANAGER, in combination with the optional visualisation software SIGMA AIR CONTROL plus, makes possible continuous measurement and display of the load-idle state, duty cycle and the power consumption of every compressor in the air system. In addition, system pressure and air consumption is determined, displayed and recorded. All data are saved for about a year and can be called up and displayed by any PC with an Internet browser and can be exported for controlling and auditing purposes. From this data KAESER specialists can carry out compressed air audits, as all the necessary information on the compressed air system is available.

Measuring air quality

Compressed air quality is determined according to a practice-oriented classification in ISO 8573-1:2001. This standard forms the basis for all measurements and any necessary measures that may have to be taken. It not only applies when measuring classes of purity but also when determining pressure dew point and oil content.

KAESER has established techniques and developed instruments for all these measurements. They ensure that all KAESER air treatment products satisfy the requirements of standards and are so certified, should this be required.

All compressed air treatment products from KAESER are certified. Naturally, our technicians also make individual measurements of air quality on users' premises. In many cases, the results allow them to give expert advice on improvement potential.
