The New Mobilair 80 Portable Compressor from Kaeser

Modern construction site equipment should not only provide exceptional reliability, but also deliver power and versatility. Therefore, why should a portable compressor be the exception and just produce compressed air? The compact and powerful Mobilair 80 not only provides an efficient and environmentally-sound source of quality compressed air, but also enables integrated electricity generation at the same time. 

With an effective free air delivery of 8.1 m³/min at 7 bar, the Mobilair 80 has more than enough power in reserve to enable simultaneous compressed air and electrical power production. Therefore in dual mode operation, the G-version, with a 8.5-kVA generator, is able to provide three-phase electricity and produce 6.8 m³ of compressed air per minute, whilst the 13-kVA generator model is still able to provide a free air delivery of 6.1 m³/min. Models are also available with various maximum working pressures up to 14 bar. Furthermore, the 10, 12 and 14 bar versions allow infinitely variable pressure adjustment down to 5 bar via a manual wheel control.
The Mobilair 80 features a specially designed energy-saving SIGMA profile airend, which is driven by a water-cooled, four-cylinder Kubota turbo-diesel engine producing 58.5 kW. Despite the unit’s high performance however, the sound power level remains below the required limit of 99 dB (A). What’s more, the Mobilair 80’s 150-litre fuel tank capacity and minimal fuel requirement ensure that the unit is not only capable of providing power for an entire eight hour shift, but also has more than sufficient reserves to deliver hours of additional power before refuelling is required. 
Last but not least, the Mobilair 80 offers outstanding versatility: The addition of various integrated air treatment components enables production of cooled, dried and technically oil-free air, which can be used for concrete-cleaning and even for fresh-air applications.    
Users will also appreciate a further feature of this new compressor: Both the standard and the heat-exchanger (for re-heated compressed air) versions are fitted with Kaeser’s integrated patented Anti-Frost Control. This system is particularly useful at times of the year when ambient temperatures are lower, as it protects air tools against freezing and corrosion.
