CAD/CAM systems often lead to round-the-clock compressed air demand for many dental laboratories. This is where Kaeser ‘Aircenter’ packages really come into their own, as they require minimal space and ensure a reliable and cost-effective source of application-specific compressed air. Planning and installation costs are also significantly lower compared with conventional systems.
At the heart of every 'Aircenter' package is an optimised SX, SM or SK series rotary screw compressor: The SX 3, 4, 6 and 8 models cover a free air delivery range from 340 to 800 l/min, whilst the SM 9, 12 and 15 versions cover deliveries from 900 to 1500 l/min. Users requiring even larger volumes of compressed air from 2000 to 2500 l/min at 7.5 bar can choose from the SK 22 and 25. An integrated refrigeration dryer ensures reliable compressed air drying and the use of a micro-/activated-carbon filter combination ensures exceptional compressed air quality. A sterile filter option is available as required. Compressed air is stored in either a 200-, 270- or 350-litre air and all three modules – the compressor, dryer and air receiver – are enclosed within a single housing. Furthermore, the SM 12, SK 22 and 25 versions can be equipped with Kaeser’s "SFC" variable speed control, allowing compressor performance to be precisely matched to suit fluctuating compressed air demand.
In addition, highly effective sound insulation and low airend speeds have enabled the "Aircenter's" sound levels to be further reduced to 59-67 dB (A). Quiet compressor performance is essential these days especially as many dental practices are now often located in multi-use buildings. |
